Hi, I'm Thoufeeq. I work in export documentation and trade finance in Dubai. I have about 12 years of experience in international logistics, and I hold an MSc in Finance.

Most of my day is spreadsheets: shipment lists, invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, letters of credit. Over the years I learned that a few Excel and Power BI skills save more time than anything else. Nobody taught me these at the start. I picked them up one painful mistake at a time.

This site is where I write those skills down in plain language, so you can learn them faster than I did.

• Excel formulas for real logistics work, such as matching shipment data, working out chargeable weight and tracking delays.
• Power Query and Power BI basics, such as combining monthly files and building a simple delivery dashboard.
• Honest advice on what to learn first, and which courses are worth your time.

How I write

I double-check the numbers in every example. If something only works in newer versions of Excel, I say so. If I am not sure about something, I say that too, and I fix mistakes when readers point them out.
